PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the dual-function mobile terminal which is easyly used by a user for whom PDC is automatically changed to lower-charge PHS right after data generation. SOLUTION: A portable telephone process part (PDC part) mainly operates right after the dual-function mobile terminal is turned ON, and then after transmit data re generated and the mode is switched to a data transmission mode, a PHS process part 3 and an information process part (MMI part) mainly operate. At this time, if the terminal is outside an area that the PHS system covers, the portable telephone process (PDC) part 2 and a data card part 4 mainly operate.
