PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a hot water supply amount in response to the state of a water heater when hot water supply is started or restarted and to rapidly execute hot water supply of a desired temperature by providing an initial flow control means for controlling a flow control valve based on set temperature information of hot water in a hot water supply tube set by a temperature setter in a control means. SOLUTION: In the water heater 1, a hot water route includes a water supply tube 2, a heat exchanger 3, a hot water supply tube 4 and a hot water supply plug 8. Its heating part includes a heater 13, a fan 9 and an igniter 12. A flow control valve 7 regulates a flow rate of the hot water supplied from the plug 9. A control means 14 controls the heating part and controls the valve 7 for a predetermined time if the plug 8 is opened to control an initial flow of reducing the flow rate of the hot water. The means 14 has an initial flow control means for controlling the valve 17 based on set temperature information of the hot water in the hot water supply tube set by a temperature setter 16. Thus, the flow rate can be regulated at a valve disc stroke corresponding to the information amount. |
