PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical disk medium capable of surely detecting the junctures of the recording tracks in groove parts and the recording track in inter-groove parts of an optical disk constituted by alternately connecting the recording tracks of the groove parts and the recording track of the inter-groove parts to form one recording spiral. SOLUTION: This optical disk medium is constituted by alternately connecting the recording tracks of the groove parts corresponding to one circumference of the disk medium and the recording track of the inter-groove parts corresponding to the one circumference of the disk medium 1, thereby forming the one recording spiral. In such a case, the land/groove polarities of respective sectors are decided from the polarity and sequence of the tracking error signals during scanning of the identification signal parts of the sectors or the tracking polarity information included in the identification signal parts.
