PURPOSE: A switched digital broadcasting(SDB) server device is provided to process channel selection demand messages which are simultaneously inputted from respective client devices, by configuring the SDB server device managing broadcasting programs of channels demanded by clients so as clients can receive the broadcasting programs, in a first-in, first-out(FIFO) system. CONSTITUTION: A switched digital broadcasting(SDB) service system gives a service for broadcasting programs of many broadcasting channels to respective clients through an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM). A SDB server device discriminates whether broadcasting channel programs corresponding to channel selection demand messages are capable of service and supplies a response message for the discrimination to client terminals, when channel selection demand messages are supplied from predetermined client terminals. And the SDB device comprises a message receiving device(210), a message interpretation device(220), a state storage device(260), a state management device(250), a resources and information storage device(270), a user information storage device(290), a resources and information allocation device(280), a message generation device(230), and a message transmission device(240). The resources and information allocation device(280) manages the information on resources of an ATM network and network capacity stored in the resources and information storage device, and user information stored in the user information storage device. And the message generation device(230) receives state information on client terminals from the state management device when the decoded channel selection demand message is inputted from the message interpretation device, and receives the information on resources of an ATM network and network capacity, and the user information for the client terminal from the resources and information allocation device. And then the message generation device decides whether to give a service of a desired broadcasting program channel to a client sending the channel selection demand message based on the received respective information, and generates a response message according to the decision result.
