METHOD FOR STORING RECORDING POWER OF OPTICAL DISC

PURPOSE: A method for storing a recording power of an optical disc is provided to reduce a working time and to always obtain the stable recording power though recording operations are performed over several times. CONSTITUTION: In setting a recording mode, testing data are recorded in several times with recording power differed each other on a test recording area of an optical disc. An optimum value of recording power is detected by detecting and analyzing the recorded testing data. The value of recording power is recorded on a specific area(a PMA(program memory area)) of the optical disc. The specific area is recorded with dividing to a fixed number portion and a prime number portion of the recording power value by allocating more than two small areas among many small areas divided by a data format inside ADR four areas. Thereby, the working time is reduced.
