METHOD FOR PRODUCING STEEL WITH EXTREMELY SMALL AMOUNTS OF PHOSPHORUS AND SULFUR

PURPOSE: A method is provided to produce steel with extremely small amounts of phosphorus and sulfur. CONSTITUTION: To produce steel with extremely small amounts of phosphorus and sulfur, the discharging temperature of steel from a converter is controlled for under 1640°C to omit an eliminating process of phosphorus from melting wire. And, the density of phosphorus after a converter treatment is controlled for under 0.010wt%. Moreover, a slag composition is controlled by quick lime, and an eliminating process of sulfur from melting wire is operated after raising temperature in an LF. Therefore, the steel with extremely small amounts of phosphorus and sulfur contains under 0.001wt% of sulfur and under 0.008wt% of phosphorus.
