摘要 PURPOSE: A method for controlling ignition timing is provided to quickly approach a target range of rpm from an rpm insensible range when ignition timing is retarded or advanced. CONSTITUTION: An ignition timing control method comprises the steps of: detecting difference(T) between increment and decrement of rpm and a target rpm after rushing into acceleration or deceleration mode; comparing the difference with a specific degree(delta rpm) for retarding or advancing by 1 degree from a general ignition timing; gradually(by 1 degree) controlling retardant or advancing degree of ignition timing if the difference(T) is less than the specific degree(delta rpm); and gradually(by 3 to 4 degrees) controlling retard or advance degree of ignition timing if the difference(T) is higher than the specific degree(delta rpm). Accordingly, retard or advance degree is changed promptly when engine rpm is increased or decreased rather than the target rpm and the target rpm is achieved in a short time.
