PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance starting performance of a compressor by correcting a power supply signal being set depending on the voltage level of a commercial power supply based on the stop interval of a compressor and applying the corrected to the compressor thereby suppressing the effect of voltage fluctuation of commercial power supply onto an output voltage being applied to the compressor. SOLUTION: When an operation start command is inputted under a state where the body switch 4 of an indoor unit 1 is turned on and an indoor side electronic controller 5 is starting control operation, power is fed from a commercial power supply 12 to a voltage correcting circuit 13 through an outdoor side electronic controller 8. Starting input voltage from the commercial power supply 12 is detected and a compressor 11 is started according to an optimal output voltage set with a duty of input voltage from the commercial power supply 12 corresponding to a power supply voltage signal such that the output voltage to the compressor 11 has an optimal level depending on each operating frequency when a rated voltage is applied from the power supply voltage signal and a signal indicative of stop interval of the compressor 11 read out from a compressor stop time counter 14.
