PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PHS cordless phone which can call a subscriber line via a master machine, and can receive an incoming call from the subscriber line by means of a slave machine even in an area where public PHS cannot be received when the commercial power of the master machine is cut and can make a call by means of the slave machine even if power is cut for a long time owing to a disaster. SOLUTION: A master machine 10 is provided with a commercial power part 11, a power cut detection part 12 detecting the power cut of the commercial power part 11, a battery 13 supplying power to respective parts when the power of the commercial power part 11 is cut and a control part 14 reducing the radio transmission output of the radio part 16 in the master machine and informing the slave machine 20 of the effect from the radio part 16. When the slave machine 20 is informed that the master machine 10 reduces radio transmission output, it drops the threshold of a minimum received signal level.
