PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the manufacturing process of a 200 VDC film capacitor by eliminating the need of capacitor impregnating and sealing work and, at the same time, to reduce the size and weight of the capacitor itself. SOLUTION: After insulating plates 4 are respectively fitted to both ends of a capacitor element 1 formed by winding a polypropylene film, the element 1 is covered with a Hishi tube 5 and attaching bands are put in the tube 5. Since the element 1 does not absorb moisture, there is no necessity for impregnating and sealing the element 1. The element 1, however, is not usable as a high-voltage capacitor.
