PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability and increase ionic conductivity by forming with a porous core material having communicating pores on the inside, an electrolyte filled in the communicating pores, and a solidified film of a gel-like electrolyte formed by covering the porous core material. SOLUTION: A solid state ionic conductor is formed by filling a specified electrolyte in communicating pores 1a of a porous core material 1 inside which the communicating pores 1a connected in three dimensional structure are formed. The opposite surfaces of the porous core material 1 are covered with a solidified film 3 of a gel-like electrolyte, and thereby, an electrolyte 2 is sealed in the porous core material 1. The gel-like electrolyte is preferably formed by plasticizing a straight-chain polymer, especially polyacrylonitrile with the electrolyte. By specifying an average pore size of the communicating pores 1a of the porous core material 1 to be <=1μm, penetration of a stock solution of the gel-like electrolyte into the communicating pores 1a is limited to the vicinity of the surface of the porous core material 1, and reliability in strength is enhanced. |
