PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized surface mount electrical connector with a relatively simple shape having electrical terminals housing springs therein and disposed in a direction substantially parallel to a circuit board, and to provide an easy manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A surface mount electrical connector 10 has pin-type electrical terminals 50a, 50b each housing a spring provided contact elasticity and an insulating housing 20 supporting them. The electrical terminals 50a, 50b are disposed in a direction substantially parallel to a circuit board and have surface mount connection parts 52a, 52b, respectively, on the bottom side of their rear ends. A groove 90 is formed by cutting on an outer circumferential side surface near each of the surface mount connection parts 52a, 52b. |
