PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fire retardant composition showing excellence in a permanent anti-static property, mechanical properties such as impact resistance, heat resistance, formability and heat stability by mixing a polystyrene-based resin, a polymer showing specific volume resistance, an organic phosphorous compound and a silicone-based compound, each mixing ratio being in a specific range. SOLUTION: A fire-retardant composition of the present invention is obtained by mixing 1-20 pts.wt. of an organic phosphorous compound represented by formula I and 0.01-5 pts.wt. of a silicone-based compound with 100 pts.wt. of a resin comprising 70-99 wt.% of a rubber-reinforced styrene-based resin and a polymer showing specific volume resistance of not more than 1012Ωcm (wherein R1-R8 are each H or a 1-5C alkyl group, Ar1-Ar4 are each a phenyl group or a phenyl group substituted by an organic group containing no halogen; Y is a direct bond, O, S, SO2, C(CH3)2, CH2 or CHPh (Ph is phenyl): n is an integer not less than 0; k and m are each 0-2; and k+m is 0-2). |
