PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RC member reinforcing method which eliminates a possibility of sudden destruction of an RC member with explosion even when a high-speed load is applied on the RC member at the time of an earthquake, can conspicuously improve the strength and tenacity of the RC member, and can be easily constructed in the field. SOLUTION: There is provided a reinforced concrete(RC) member reinforcing method in which an RC member with a certain length has reinforcing fibers wound on its periphery, followed by fixing the same by means of a synthetic resin. In the method, at least part of the reinforcing fibers is formed of glass fibers, and at least part of the synthetic resin is formed of a low elastic thermosetting resin. By using a reinforcing material with a ductile property in place of a conventional one with a brittle property formed of carbon fibers and a thermosetting resin, explosive destruction under a high-speed load can be prevented. Further, employment of the low elastic thermosetting resin facilitates the construction works in the field.
