摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control device capable of grasping the magnetic pole position of a permanent magnet synchronous motor even when the arrangement is not equipped with any magnetic pole position sensor of shaft direct coupling type and allowing proper operating of the elevator. SOLUTION: At starting an elevator, a start actuating means 11 actuates a magnetic pole axial position presumptive control means 10 to impress a DC step current of a specified electrical angle on the terminal of a permanent magnet synchronous motor 3 so that the magnetic pole axial position of the motor 3 is shifted to the specified electrical angle. In this condition, a speed control system 6 calculates the current command value on the basis of the speed deviation signal about the actual speed of the motor 3 from its speed command value and also the primary frequency angle of an inverter 7 on the basis of the actual speed, while a current control system 8 gives a gate signal to the inverter 7 so that its output current is identical to the current command value of the primary frequency angle given by the speed control system 6.
