ORGANISMIC SIGNAL DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and measure organismic signals accurately via a small-scale and inexpensive device that needs no individual installation space and remains unfelt by subjects during detection/measurement. SOLUTION: The organismic signal detector, arranged in a magnetostalic field, comprises a lavatory seat body 1 on which a subject can be seated, deformable sheet members 4 of high magnetic permeability glued to the underside of the seat surface of the lavatory seat body 1, at least one magnetism sensor 51 disposed near the high-magnetic-permeability sheet members 4 to detect any human organism micromotion of the subject such as respiration and heartbeat via their corresponding deformation. The high-magnetic-permeability sheet members 4 may be replaced by deformable sheet members of permanent magnets or be omitted through the molding of the lavatory seat body 1 from a synthetic resin wherein a magnetic powder of high permeability is dispersed.
