PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with the priming by a user at the beginning of using a washing machine and improve the convenience by performing controlling a feeding solenoid valve to perform the priming to a pump casing before or simultaneously with the bathwater pump operation. SOLUTION: When a power source switch is ON and a bathwater course start button is pressed, a current is carried to a feeing solenoid valve 31 for a prescribed time (about 15 seconds) by a control device to feed service water. The water leaving a discharge port for service water is collided to the wall of a priming feed port 33, and the service water is partially supplied into a pump 26 through the priming port of the casing of a bathwater feed pump 26 as priming. When the prescribed time passed, the current-carrying to the feeing solenoid valve 31 is stopped, the pump 26 is started, a sucking chamber is laid in negative pressure by the rotation of a runner by the motor, and the bathwater is sucked through a suction hose connected to a sucking port 26a and discharged into a washing tank 8 through a discharge pipe 26b.
