The arrangement has a transformer (4,5,6) with a low wt. magnetic circuit, an isolating transformer for a fence conductor element connected to the secondary side of the transformer, a capacitor for storing electrical energy and a thyristor that can be made to conduct by a control signal applied to its gate to ensure discharging of the capacitor through the transformer primary and the output of a pulse to the secondary side. The arrangement has several parallel storage capacitors (1,1',1'') and several thyristors (2,2',2''), each connected in parallel with a capacitor. Capacitor discharging is controlled sequentially so that the secondary side (5) of the transformer receives a complex pulse made up of elementary pulses corresp. to the individual discharging of a capacitor, whereby individual discharging is only called upon if the magnetic circuit is in its initial state.
