METHOD FOR MULTI-LEVEL RECOVERY OF ATM NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for multi-level recovery of ATM network is provided to recover a virtual path step by step by using a method of a state-dependent preplanned virtual path restoration scheme and a method of a dynamic restoration protocol. CONSTITUTION: A method for multi-level recovery of ATM network comprises the steps of a process for state-dependent preplanned virtual path restoration scheme and a process for dynamic restoration protocol. The process for state-dependent preplanned VP restoration scheme comprises the steps of determining and storing a restoration path, transmitting a message and allocating the capacity, and changing traffic of a virtual path to a recovery path. The process for dynamic restoration protocol comprises the steps of sensing and recovering troubles, searching a new recovery root, and changing the virtual path to the searched root.
