PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an org. optical waveguide which has excellent light- transmitting property and little softening or elongation by heating during production, which maintains the form of the optical waveguide in a good state, and which is free from increase in the propagation loss of light or from deterioration of characteristics by deformation or cracks. SOLUTION: This optical waveguide has a structure in which core part 3 is formed in a clad part consisting of a mixture resin of a fluorocarbon resin and a siloxane resin (a lower clad layer 2 and an upper clad layer 4). The core part 3 consists of a mixture resin of a fluorocarbon resin and a siloxane resin and has a larger refractive index than that of the clad part 2, 4. The optical waveguide has excellent light-transmitting property and little softening or elongation by heating during production, keeps the form of the optical waveguide in a good state, and is free from increase in the propagation loss of light or from deterioration of characteristics by deformation or cracks. |
