DRIVER FOR SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize low power consumption by decreasing number of pins of an IC package that is a solid-state image pickup element while the solid-state image pickup element is multi-functioned and made composite. SOLUTION: A digital signal processing IC 52 supplies serial data synchronously with a clock and a pulse required for reading a signal from a solid-state image pickup element 51 to the solid-state image pickup element 51, a serial/ parallel converter 516 and a register 517 on the solid-state image pickup element 51 are updated so as to realize the multi-functioned solid-state image pickup element 51 with less number of pins.
