PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catch basin, from which an insect and a small animal can be made to escape easily. SOLUTION: An inclined plane section 6 for guidance gradually lifted towards a right side wall 3 faced to a left side wall 2 from a place separated from the wall 2 is formed onto the surface of a bottom wall 1 at a central section in the longitudinal direction of a box-shaped basin, in which an upper section is opened. A landing 7 oppositely faced to the upper end section of the inclined plane section for guidance in the same height and inclined plane sections 8 for an escape gradually lifted towards the upper end surfaces of front-rear both side walls 4, 5 from the landing are formed on the inside of the right side wall respectively.
