PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary napkin with rear part better fit the body of the wearer, particularly a groove in the buttocks, to prevent leaks. SOLUTION: This sanitary napkin 20 has a liquid-absorbing section with two opposing longitudinal ends 30, 32 and a first horizontal end 26 and a second horizontal end which form the front of the liquid-absorbing section 22. The liquid-absorbing section has a liquid-permeable cover layer 42, a liquid- impermeable barrier layer 50, and an absorbent layer 48 located between the cover layer and the barrier layer. The napkin further has a liquid-stopping section 24 integrated with the liquid-absorbing section, the liquid-stopping section covering a groove in the buttocks of the wearer. The liquid-stopping section has an outer face facing away from the body of the wearer when the wearer uses the napkin, the outer face having no adhesive.
