<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of a density irregularity and a color shift caused by a change in transfer load. SOLUTION: An auxiliary roller 23 is coupled to a platen roller 10. An auxiliary thermal head 24 is pressed in touch with the auxiliary roller. A coefficient of friction between the auxiliary roller 23 and auxiliary thermal head 24 is set to have a similar temperature characteristic to a coefficient of friction between a color thermal recording paper 2 and a recording thermal head 12. The auxiliary thermal head 24 generates a heat energy of a size which makes a sum of thermal energies generated thereby and by the recording thermal head 12 constant while the recording thermal head 12 is recording one line, so that a transfer load applied to a transferring mechanism consisting of a transfer roller 15 and a pulse motor 16 is made constant.</p> |
