PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold which can form a cavity for feeder head comparatively larger than that of the conventional mold and can mold the recessions of a cavity for sprue and the cavity for feeder head together with the recession for demarcating a cavity for product and also, has the wholly uniform hardness. SOLUTION: Two sand molds 3, 3 with molding flasks 2 are jointed to demarcate the cavity 4 for product, and the jointed two sand molds 3, 3 is formed as a mold 1 with can pour molten metal in the erecting state so that one side wall of the molding flasks 2, 2 is positioned direct upward. The molding flask 2 has a cut-off part 5 on the one side wall and can demarcate an opening part 6 at the jointed position at the jointing time. The sand mold 3 is included in the molding flask 2 and has the cavity 7 for sprue and the cavity 8 for feeder head so that these end parts are positioned in the opening parts 6 at the jointed position at the jointing time, and the cavity 8 for feeding head is positioned above the cavity 7 for product when the one side wall of the molding flask 2 erects upward.
