PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the maneuverability of a bicycle by providing an in-wheel motor light in weight, and small in size. SOLUTION: The power transmission mechanism of an assit bicycle is so devised as to be made small in size, and light in weight by compactly housing a power mechanism such as a motor, a reduction gear and the like in a hub supporting the spokes of a front wheel. In addition, in a Corioli's movement gearing, since a great reduction ratio can be obtained, it is sufficiently good enough that the motor to be used herein is small in size, and light in weight, and it can thereby be devised to reduce its weight and electrical consumption as well. This constitution thereby enables a distance obtainable by one time electrical charging to be extended. Furthermore, driving the front wheel 4 by means of an in-wheel motor acting as an auxiliary power device, and driving a rear wheel 105 by means of stepping force in order to stabilize control stability at the time of running over a road surface slippy in particular.
