PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily install lighting systems in various parts of a compartment by providing at least necessary parts with transmittance and by providing a deformable, long casing and a light emitting element arranged in the casing. SOLUTION: For example, the body part 21 of a casing 2 is formed by extrusion molding transparent soft resin. A plurality of wired lamps 3 are inserted in the casing body part 21 and arranged longitudinally at a prescribed interval apart from each other, and the light emitted from the lamps 3 is emitted to the easing 2 outside through a lens part 24. The both ends of the easing body part 21 are joined and closed by terminal caps 22, 23 respectively. This lighting system 1 is installed in a curtain rail positioned in the upper edge of a vehicle window opening. That is to say, groove beams 251 opened downward respectively in a roof-side rail garnish in the lower position inside/outside the vehicle. The easing rear half 25 is installed by inserted into the curtain rail part.
