PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly advance a work while simply checking various restrictions according to the Building Standard Law or the like when designed and built by drawing an auxiliary line for setting a limiting line on a surface of the ruler according to a predetermined reference on a drawing in a predetermined contraction scale. SOLUTION: An abscissa axis of a ruler 10 indicates a ground surface, and its left end indicates a lot boundary line L1. To be used by inverting the ruler, a road boundary line L2 is indicated to exist on the same boundary line of its left end. An ordinate axis has different scales at right and left sides so that road setbacks A1, A2, northern side setbacks B1, B2, adjacent setbacks C1, C2, first class altitude setbacks D1, D2, second class altitude setbacks E1, E2 and third class altitude setbacks F1, F2 are shown correspondingly as auxiliary lines for specifying limiting lies by the Building Standard Law with respect to the ordinate axis of the left side. Further, daylighting setbacks G1 to G3 are shown regarding the ordinate axis of the right side.
