PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent displaying instantaneous picture disturbance and random coloring when a power switch is turned on or when ON/OFF operations of the switch are repeated continuously. SOLUTION: Two or more display sections 4 and 5 are provided. The sections 4 and 5 are each provided with liquid crystal panels 11 and 12, driving circuits 13 and 14, which drive the panels, back lights 21 and 22, which illuminate the panels, and power supply circuits 31 and 32 which supply power to the circuits and the back lights, the panel sizes of the display sections are made different from each other. In the display device having above constitution, the time between the start of driving a circuit and the start of picture display on the panel is set for each display.
