PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a controller for vending machine which enables a vending machine to satisfactorily function without operator's change input from a set keyboard in the case of attachment of a carrying mechanism, replacement with a carrying mechanism different by classification, or the like. SOLUTION: A control part 1 is provided with a discrimination part 2 which discriminates the classification of an attached carrying mechanism A based on the combination of input signals of input terminals. Thus, the classification of the attached carrying mechanism A is discriminated by the control part and can be automatically recognized, and the classification of the carrying mechanism A is recognized by the control part 1 and the vending machine satisfactorily functions without operator's change input data from the set keyboard even in the case of attachment of the carrying mechanism A or replacement with the carrying mechanism A different by classification, and it doesn't take much time and labor for the operator to confirm the carrying mechanism as conventional and input the data corresponding to the carrying mechanism A, thus improving the work efficiency.
