PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install or expand a continuous type heat treatment furnace with a high processing capacity compactly without much space and perform wide setting for treatment purposes. SOLUTION: Tower-type heat treatment chambers 1A and 1B, where a vertical conveyance mechanism in that an endless chain 3 is extended to an upper wheel 4 and a lower wheel 5 equipped with a treatment article receiver 2 at a fixed interval is provided inside, are provide side by side at least at front and rear stages, a treatment article 8 is loaded into the heat treatment chamber 1A and is moved around in the heat treatment chamber by the vertical conveyance mechanism for extraction, and further the treatment article is loaded into the heat treatment chamber 1B at the rear stage and is moved around in the heat treatment chamber for extraction.
