PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the presence of a branch instruction generated while the address of a branch-source instruction and the address of a branch- destination instruction are received. SOLUTION: The tracing device is provided with a means A which detects the addresses of executed instructions being discontinuous when a CPU core 3 executes the instructions included in a program in address order and a means B which latches the addresses of the branch-source instruction and the address of the branch-destination instruction when the addresses of the executed instructions are discontinuous. A serial bus control I/F is a means which outputs the latched addresses of the branch-source instruction and branch-destination instruction in series. Further, the device is provided with a means C which counts how many times the addresses of executed instructions are discontinuous while the addresses of the branch-source and branch-destination instructions are outputted in series and a means which outputs the count result.
