PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POLYPEPTIDE IN CELL-FREE PROTEIN SYNTHESIS SYSTEM

A process for producing a polypeptide in a cell-free protein synthesis syste m with the use of dialysis, which comprises forming the polypeptide via the translation or transcription/translation of a nucleic acid encoding the polypeptide in the cell-free protein synthesis system containing a concentrated cell extract, and then taking up the polypeptide. By using this process, a desired polypeptide can be synthesized within a short period of time at a high yield and at a low cost, compared with the conventional processes.
