The invention concerns a blade crusher whereof the operation combines a crushing action with double shearing effect along two orthogonal spatial planes, for example vertical and horizontal planes. Said crusher comprises, for example, at least two successive pairs of mobile toothed blades forming a jaw, each pair consisting of two opposite corresponding blades (1, 2) driven in a reciprocating motion spacing (12) them and bringing them together (11) to be urged to stop again each other when the teeth are engaged into one another. Part at least of the blade (1, 2) teeth have a surface oriented perpendicular to the reciprocating motion of the blades, and the second pair of blades sliding against the first pair of blades to be urged to stop in a position offset relatively to the stop position of the first pair of toothed blades. Fixed blades can be interposed between the mobile blades.
