The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for selecting a data set from a plurality of data sets. According to the invention, a plurality of data sets is mapped on a set of values of a selection device. The output device is adjusted to a value of said set of values by way of an input means. A data set assigned to said value is selected from among the plurality of data sets.
