PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail system where a customer can transmit a service request to a service company even though the customer does not know the name of the relevant service staffer nor the pager number. SOLUTION: In this electronic mail system, a customer logs in an electronic mail server device via a network link when he/she has an urgent service request. When a format prepared by a service company is read via an electronic mail client device, a format column is filled by the customer and a mail including a document is sent to a server via a public telephone network, etc., of the system. The server retrieves the opposite party stored in a data base and to be paged and also a pager number based on the mail transmitter and the contents of a mail column and transmits a pager call. A paging server device transmits the pager calls in a fixed frequency at every time set by the service company until an answer is received from a prescribed service staffer.
