PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable holding a coating film uniform by making a resin feeding path communicate with a retention groove and also arranging a level sensor for detecting the level of resin in the retention groove, and controlling the resin fed quantity corresponding to the height of the level. SOLUTION: A nozzle 6 is fixed to a pipe type doctor 3 at a supporting plate 6a, and to the supporting plate 6a, an outer cover 6b is fixed to form a uniform clearance 10 in the width direction between the supporting plate 6a and the outer cover 6b. Above the nozzle 6, an upper cover 13 is arranged, and a clearance 11 leading to the clearance 10 at the back surface thereof is formed between the upper cover 13 and a pipe type doctor 3. Further, the clearance 10 as a resin liquid feeding path is provided with a branch path 12 between the outer cover 6b and the upper cover 13 to make the head thereof communicate with a retention groove 15. In the retention groove 15, a level sensor 15 for detecting the height of the level of resin 5 is arranged to enable keeping constant the height 'h' of the level in the retention groove 15.
