PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the rigidity of a sound absorbing panel by providing a panel strengthening body on a surface at the opposite side of a sound absorbing panel of the main body of the sound absorbing panel equipped with the sound absorbing board and sound absorbing box. SOLUTION: A plurality of sound absorbing boxes 2 are arranged in a plurality of steps, for example, and housed in a casing 5 of the sound absorbing panel main body 3. In this sound absorbing box 2, a plurality of empty chambers 21 are provided in a grid shape by dividing the inner portion with a plurality of partition walls, a sound absorbing panel 1 is held on the whole surface in the thickness direction of this sound absorbing box 2, and other surface is faced and contacted to the inner surface of a rear surface wall 51 of the casing 5. Also, the sound absorbing board 1 is formed to a porous construction by pressing and hardening granular synthetic resin. Next, the panel strengthening body 4 is formed to a rectangular shape with the size corresponding to the main body 3 of the sound absorbing panel, is attached to a rear surface wall 51 in a removable manner, or jointed with rivets or the like. In this way, the rigidity of the sound absorbing panel can be enhanced since the panel strengthening body 4 is provided for the main body 3 of the sound absorbing panel.
