COIL PACKING CAP AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount even a steel plate coil having slight unevenness on an end face at a region of an inner peripheral hole without breaking packing paper. SOLUTION: The coil packing cap (cap) 11 comprises a cylinder 12 fitted into an inner peripheral hole 16 of a steel plate coil (coil) 15 and a flange 13 in close contact with an end face of the coil 15, which are integrally formed. A swell 14 is provided on the flange 13 at a corner with the cylinder 12, so that the swell 14 receives an uneven region on the end face of the coil 15 even if an end face at a region of the inner peripheral hole 16 is uneven. Thus the coil 15 having slight unevenness on the end face at the region of the inner peripheral hole 16 can be mounted without breaking packing paper.
