PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity for a producer to produce bottoms of different floor widths, to attain cost reduction and to quickly deal with the request of a user by immediately and easily changing the floor width of the bottom as the placing width of a mattress by changing the supporting position of a side rail. SOLUTION: The bottom 1a of a bed is constituted corresponding to the maximum desired width, a support 5 provided with an inserting and supporting part for a strut 3 of a side rail 2 is fixed on the downside of the bottom, this support is constituted so as to adjust the fixing position for positioning the inserting and supporting part on both the sides of the inside and outside of the side of the bottom, and an inserting port 7 for the strut of the side rail is constituted inside the side of the bottom. With such a mechanism, the practical floor width of the bottom as the placing width of the mattress can be varied by adjusting the supporting position of the side rail. |
