PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly regulate input power to a suction motor with no individ ual differences, without requiring special equipment as well in the production process of an electric vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner is equipped with a vacuum cleaner main body 1 in which a suction motor 6 is built in, a current detecting means 12 which detects the current of the suction motor 6, a control circuit 14 which controls the input power of the suction motor 6 by a signal from the current detecting means 12, and a memory means 15 which stores various kinds of data. The control circuit 14 calculates a correction coefficient A, in order to make the input power meet a control target value when there is a difference between the control target value for the input power for the suction motor 6, and the value of the input power of the suction motor during an operation, and the electric vacuum cleaner is constituted in such a manner that the correction coefficient A is written in the memory means 15 to be stored.
