<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: An ink for ink jet recording capable of giving a uniform image free form blotting and fogging on a paper and having high resolution and high density, not suffering from clogging in the tip of a nozzle caused by drying of ink and excellent in jetting response, jetting stability and drying properties on a paper as well as in long-term shelf stability, and to provide an ink jet recording method using the same. SOLUTION: The ink for ink jet recording is an aqueous ink comprising water, a pigment, a water-soluble resin and a water-soluble organic solvent, wherein the water-soluble resin comprises a polymer comprising a monomer represented by the formula: CH2=CHNR1COR2 (wherein R1 is H or methyl and R2 is H or a 1-4C alkyl) and the number average particle size of the dispersed particles in the ink is 15-100 nm.</p> |
