PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for changing the specific characteristic of physiologically active proteins or introducing a new specific characteristic. SOLUTION: On the method for changing the specific characteristic of physiologically active proteins or introducing a new specific characteristic, (1) the specific characteristic of proteins is changed by giving rise to variation at the site of action in the proteins or the new specific characteristic is introduced and further (2) the specific characteristic that is caused as the result of making a change on the above (1) or the specific characteristic newly introduced is reinforced by giving rise variation to a certain site in the whole structure of protein.
