PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a makeup cotton to be a standard for objectively determining a suitable quantity not by determining the suitable quantity of toilet lotion while depending on the intuition of a user but by providing something like an indication to be the standard on the surface of makeup cotton. SOLUTION: A high-confounding absorbent cotton material 1 is made in a band- shaped, fed downward while being held between rollers 2a and 2b, and cut into plural lines of a suitable prescribed width by a lateral cutting rotary blade 4 to be operated parallel with a feeding direction in the middle. Then, these materials are pressed with a fixed dimension rotary pressing roller, respective standard indications are successively and intermittently marked from both respective front and rear sides to one side onto respective cotton materials by a standard indication die 6, a parallel mobile table 11 having an extruding plate 10 having an upper blade 8 on one hand and a lower blade 9 on the other hand is provided at the lower part and by moving the lower blade to operate synchronously with the fixed dimension rotary pressing roller, respective cotton materials are respectively cut, pressed and serially arranged on an alignment stand 3.
