METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING THROUGHDRIED TISSUE PRODUCT WITHOUT THROUGHDRYING FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut down both the cost for purchasing a throughdried fabric and down time for replacing the fabric by the suction drying of paper web with hot air on a drying drum having plural protuberances on its outer periphery without using a throughdried fabric. SOLUTION: The purpose of this invention is achieved as follows: (1) feeding an aqueous liquid dispersoid of fiber for papermaking from a head box 10 into a space between an inside forming fabric 11 and an outside one 12; (2) making paper web 14 formed on a forming roll 13 pass on a dewatering roll while retaining it with the fabric 11; (3) transferring the web 14 to the surface of a drying drum 15 having plural protuberances on its outer periphery by a vacuum box 17 and a blowing box 23 for the purpose of both pressing the web 14 between the drum 15 and plural pressing rolls 18 and 19, and drying the web 14 by making the drum 15 suck hot air from a hot air hood 21 through the web 14 into the inside of the drum 15; (4) taking off the web 14 from the surface of the drum 15 with a doctor blade 22 having ribs and winding the web on a parent roll 25.
