PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup method and a device where reproduction of accurate white balance can be obtained and a loop processing time in the white balance processing can be reduced. SOLUTION: A system controller 6 selects at least any of a white balance coefficient calculated from image signal data before photographing, a white balance coefficient calculated from the image signal data after photographing, and a result of an arithmetic operation obtained from the two white balance coefficients and a display circuit 8 displays at least one of processing data processed by using the selected white balance coefficient.
