PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure displacements of a brake pedal, or the like, easily and accurately by providing an analog operation sensor and an incremental operation sensor and measuring the displacement, while correlating analog signal and pulse train signal. SOLUTION: Bar magnets 3, 4 and magnetic polarity alternating members 10, 11 are fixed to a piston rod 6, e.g. the pressure rod of a main brake cylinder in an automobile. Hall elements 2, 4 constituting an analog operation sensor and Hall switches 7, 8 constituting an incremental operation sensor are fixed to a casing 1. An analog signal detected by the Hall element 2, 4 is corrected with a pulse train signal detected by the Hall switches 7, 8 and both signals are made to correlate with each other. Since the elapse characteristics signals of two Hall switches 7, 8 having a phase shift of 90 deg. have high resolution., displacement can be measured precisely.
