PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal driving device capable of preventing the damage and the lowering of display quality from being generated. SOLUTION: A panel temp. sensor 22 being a temp. detecting means detects the temp. of the vicinity of an LCD to send it to a CPU 11 and is digitized in a temp. discriminating means 31 consisting of, for example, an A/D converting circuit converting signal every fixed time. Then, a failure discriminating means 32 calculates a temp. change based temp. data being digital data from the temp. discriminating means 31. When the temp. change is not larger than a certain value, the failure discriminating means 32 judges that the temp. detecting means is at fault and it outputs a signal to a heating means control means 33, which outputs a signal to a panel heater driving circuit 23 in order to stop the driving of a panel heater 20 being a heating means by the signal from the failure discriminating means 32.
