PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head manufacturing device and a magnetic head manufacturing method capable of easily and accurately positioning recording/reproducing elements. SOLUTION: In this magnetic head manufacturing device 10 for joining a 1st recording/reproducing element RP1 and a 2nd recording/reproducing element RP2 at the joint surface, a 1st holding part 20 holding the 1st recording/ reproducing element RP1 at the specified position while providing a 1st thrusting member 22 for pushing out the 1st recording/reproducing element RP1 to the side of joint surface, a 2nd holding part 30 movable in the direction parallel against the joint surface of the 2nd recording/reproducing element RP2 while providing a 2nd thrusting member 32 for pushing out the 2nd recording/ reproducing element RP2 to the side of joint surface, and an adjusting member 40 brought into contact with the sliding surfaces of the 1st recording/reproducing element RP1 and 2nd recording/reproducing element RP2 for adjusting the positions in the height direction of the 1st recording/reproducing element RP1 and 2nd recording/reproducing element RP2.
