Disclosed herein is a printing medium comprising a base material (1) and an ink-receiving layer (2) which comprises inorganic fine particles (5) and a binder and is provided on the base material, wherein the inorganic fine particles are partly projected from a binder layer of the ink-receiving layer and contained in a proportion of 0.05 to 3 parts per 100 parts of the binder in terms of solids.
